1. Other than Manly Beach (of course) are there any other beach volleyball Meccas in NSW or Queensland? I am interested to find a place where one could join a pick up
game. Thanks Dave

Answer:

Dave,

To be totally honest Manly is the only place to get any decent games in Sydney. During Summer on the other hand you can catch people playing at
Coogee and Bondi. Bondi used to be the Mecca years ago, but the council put a stop to it and stole the posts. People do however put up temp courts. Most of the games played at Bondi and Coogee are novice players. The majority train at Manly.

If in the sunny state of queensland, head to surfers paradise on the Gold
Coast. Stewart, an older fella, sets courts up every day in front of the surf
life saving club. You get most the good players hitting balls there. There are also a couple of off the sand places in Brisbane. Ask Stewart if you see him, I have forgotten the names at present.
